Fellow Chartered Accountant

George works with a wide range of clients focusing mainly on farming and horticultural industries and associated businesses.

He is passionate about improving business growth and performance and enjoys helping clients achieve both.  Tax planning, governance and succession are his specialties.

Originally a farm consultant, after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, George joined the ICL team.

A long standing member of the Rural Advisory Committee for Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand (CAANZ), George was appointed chairman of this group in 2021, which provides leadership and expertise to develop, grow and support New Zealand rural accountants and the primary sector.

In recognition of his contribution to the accountancy profession, the rural industry and his community, in 2020 George was awarded a Fellowship from Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand.

In the community, George also enjoys roles on The Terrace School Board of Trustees and the Central Otago Whitewater management committee and board.

Away from work, he loves spending time with his family and friends in the great outdoors, biking, tramping, skiing, boating and kayaking.
